A little about G thats me!

Hi folks & cheers for stopping by.

My first introduction into the world of science fiction & fantasy was through my granddad. One rainy afternoon while annoying my granddad who eventually lost his rag, told me to shut up & sit down.
He produced two books:
  • The Hobbit
  • The lion, the witch & the wardrobe
Well that was that seriously hooked on the genre from then on.
I first started playing 40K when I was around 12 years old (now 38yrs old) & my first army was Khorne, I even remember that a bloodthirster back them cost 1250pts & he stomped around with the axe of Khorne with another greater daemon inside.

So I brought the Rogue Trader & Slaves to darkness, then other books were released, the Warhammer 40k companion, Lost & the damned, Waargh the Orks & I remember the Eldar for 40k was originally released in White Dwarf.

Armies I played back then:
  • Khorne
  • Black Legion
  • Tzeentch
  • Dark Angels
  • Harlequins
  • Eldar
I stopped around 16yrs old & moved onto games like;
  • Warhammer fantasy role-play (WFRP)
  • AD&D (every campaign setting they’ve released, Dragonlance rocks!)
  • Star Wars d6 & Star Wars d20
  • Shadowrun
  • Cyberpunk
  • Pendragon
  • Twilight 2000
  • Runesquest
  • D&D (3rd edition)
  • White Wolf/World of darkness games (Vampire the masquerade etc)
  • D20 modern
So how’d I get back into 40k well into my martial arts gym that I run walks my good buddy Rob & one fateful day in conversation it comes to light Rob plays 40k. I’m guessing he expected you what, or sounds nerdy, not interested or some such thing.

What he got was “wow that’s a blast from the past not heard that game mentioned in while”

He said if you want to play let me know, so I did we did a little game at my gym. Now the mats are normally use to martial arts & sweaty bodies being thrown around. Not this night - two armies of 40k clashed & the flame was rekindled.
I’m now 40k mad reborn and have three armies
  • Grey Knights (I bloody love em I do!)
  • Eldar (very cool if somewhat squishy… Eldrad is cool)
  • Chaos Space Marines (Hail the mighty Abaddon!)
Well that’s that really!

Stay cool, G
